Help Capriece Rebuild
I created this fundraiser with Capriece's permission.
Sometimes, complete strangers cross paths under the most heartbreaking circumstances. That's exactly how Capriece and I met.
On June 18, 2026, after severe Midwest storms had left her home without power, a fire broke out and quickly consumed the house she and her three young children called home. In the midst of one of the worst days of her life, that's how our paths became connected.
Although I've known Capriece for less than a day, it didn't take long to see what kind of person she is. Throughout the chaos, fear, and uncertainty, her only concern was her children. She wasn't thinking about herself or what she had lost; she was thinking about making sure her three kids were safe and cared for.
While we were standing there watching everything unfold, I asked what clothing sizes her children wore so we could begin gathering necessities for them. When I asked about her own size, she barely gave it a second thought. She simply wanted to make sure her kids had what they needed first. That moment spoke volumes about the kind of mother she is.
In an instant, this family lost not only their home but also so many of the everyday things most of us take for granted. Now comes the long journey of rebuilding—finding stability, replacing essentials, and creating a sense of normalcy again for three young children who have experienced something no child should have to endure.
I'm asking our community, friends, family, and even those who have never met Capriece, to come together and help lighten the burden. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go toward helping her family replace essential items, support her children, and begin rebuilding after this devastating loss.
If you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is another meaningful way to help. Together, we can remind this family that even after tragedy, they are not alone.
I truly believe our community is capable of incredible kindness and generosity. Let's rally around Capriece and her children and help give them hope as they begin the difficult road ahead.
Thank you for your compassion, your prayers, and your generosity, and for helping this family take the first steps toward rebuilding their lives.
