Please help me, help my friend Jen and her family. As of this weekend, this family of 6 (plus their dog Joe) will be homeless. Jen has been homeless before, due to the 2008 recession, but this chick is resilient and clawed her way out. 2023 has thrown the steepest of mountains at her though.

At the beginning of April, Jen & Chad went to Indy for a long weekend & eloped. Their story is one of love, heartbreak, endurance, despair and hope. I know, because not only have I known them for about a decade, I work with them too. I know their hearts & I know that they don't deserve this!!!

When they came home, they found a letter from their landlord stating that they needed to be out of the home they have been renting for over 8 years by the end of April. The landlord wants to "make improvements" ie; raise the rent more than the yearly max........and so this family is on the verge of becoming another statistic.

They have applied & paid sooo many app fees, called, toured, taken way to many credit check hits & begged for housing. Salvation Army cannot currently help. 211 cannot help. IA (Innovative Apt.) cannot help. I can only do so much and Dear Lord I wish I had the room.....but YOU can help!

As they prepare to split up & squeeze into a motel while others go to a shelter, while still looking avidly for a place to call home, I am hoping humanity can show loving kindness to them by way of donations to help them survive this storm until they can get back on their feet. If you are a landlord, PLEASE HELP - in almost 9 years, they have NEVER been late on rent, but their credit is just not high enough because they're still rebuilding. One more year, that was their goal for buying their own home.

Your donation will help them keep the kids, grandkids & Joe in the motel until they can find housing. Its ripping Jen apart that she can't keep them out of a shelter. (This is gut-wrenching for me to type) Your help will also give them the ability to EAT and also cover storage fees for their belongings until they can find housing.
