Hello. My name is Christine Mullins. I am married, have eight children, and live in Lehi, Utah. My son, Braden Hartley, has kindly helped put this fundraiser together for me, to help me stop suffering. In 2010, at the age of 43, I was driving down the road. There were two passengers in the car with me who had been arguing for hours and we had another three hours to go. I guess it was the last straw that my nervous system could take because all of a sudden my right foot, that was on the gas pedal, started to shake uncontrollably. The shaking slowly, over a few years, took over my whole body, along with extreme stiffness and weakness, to the point of having to crawl to the bathroom… sometimes my arms and knees would bleed from crawling so much (I used my arms to crawl when my hands wouldn't hold me up). The weakness part was, and is, almost unbearable.

Soon after my drive with the arguing passengers, I was diagnosed with “Parkinson's” dis-ease. I decided to throw myself, head first, into how the body works.  I figured that if I could find out what I was doing, or not doing, to cause the unwanted symptoms, I could stop doing them, or start doing what my body needed. So for the last twelve years I have tried every treatment, therapy, blood test, diet, supplement, herb, meditation, and prayer that showed any hope that it could help bring my body back into balance.  I even ended up taking medications to give me small breaks from the torture of the symptoms.

As I searched, I learned how perfectly miraculous our bodies are, and saw that every subconscious behavior that they do is in an effort to protect and renew themselves, in an attempt to keep us alive.  Every time I learned an amazing new thing, I felt like I just received another domino in a chain of dominos. Like dominos, everything in the body seems to be connected and affecting each other. Each domino I learned about was like a step I had to take so that I could understand the next domino. 

Finally, I believe that I have reached the last few dominos that I needed to understand, to get well! I know what they are and can see clearly what I need to do to have my body become balanced again, but they are just out of reach because they are expensive. I feel like I'm starving, and there is a plate full of healthy and delicious food, just far enough away that I can't reach it without help from others.  I believe with all my heart that I have come to the first domino, and with your support, my suffering will be relieved. I will then get to be a mom again to my eight children, and a loving wife to my husband. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
