Help Christopher Recover
On Tuesday, October 21, Christopher was in a terrible motorcycle accident on Crown Point Rd in Bridport. As he was leaving home to head back to work, he was caught in a wind gust and sent across the road into the ditch on the far side of the road. Luckily, none of his injuries were life threatening, however the impact broke several ribs, compression fractures in a few vertebrae, his left femur, right foot and ankle as well as a serious concussion that left him unresponsive, requiring a feeding tube for several days. He was life flight transported to the hospital where he remained in the ICU for the past week.
He is going to have a very long road to recovery and return to work. As he tries to focus on healing and getting out of the hospital he will have medical and personal bills stacking up. His wife, Jackie, has been by his side but will soon have to return to work as she has limited PTO available. We would like to try to help ease some of their financial stress in the immediate future so that they don't get behind and Jackie is able to have some time to help him when he's able to come home. If you don't want to donate here, Pratts gift cards for gas, or groceries would be a great help as well.
Chris is going to be beyond angry at me when we finds out that we were asking for help on their behalf, but sometimes you just need it.
Thanks to everyone who has reached out over the past week and sent positive thoughts his way! As of today he is set free of the feeding tube, and being released from the ICU. Morale wise, he's just angry about being in the hospital and wants to go home.
