Help Daphne Through Breast Cancer

My partner, Daphne, is going through treatment for breast cancer. Since her diagnosis, our lives have changed in ways we couldn't have really prepared for.

There are the obvious parts, treatments, appointments, surgery, recovery, and everything that comes with getting through cancer. Then there are all the other things you don't think about until you're living it.

I've had to step away from work at times to be there for Daphne, get her to appointments, and make sure she has what she needs at home. At the same time, the normal expenses of everyday life haven't stopped. With less income coming in and months of treatment behind us, some of those expenses have built up, and we've reached a point where we could use some help.

That's why I'm making this fundraiser.

The money raised will help us catch up on household expenses and cover some of the everyday costs that have been affected by Daphne's treatment. More than anything, it will give us some breathing room so our attention can stay where it belongs on getting Daphne through this.

We aren't expecting anyone to fix everything for us. A few dollars helps. Sharing this helps. And if all you can do is send some encouragement Daphne's way, that matters too.

Asking for help like this isn't something that comes naturally to either of us. That's probably part of why it took me this long to make this page. But cancer doesn't really care how comfortable you are asking for help.
