I am fundraising to get my husband back to our home state of Southern California. We relocated to Texas 6 months ago with high hopes of a better life, so far it has been very challenging and difficult. My husband has a Genetic Disorder, called PKU and was diagnosed on 9/30/2024 with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). Since 9/28/2024, he has been hospitalized 2- 3 hours away from myself and our 12-year-old daughter. My husband's medical team in Dallas, is not satisfactory. I do not hear from them AT ALL and they will not consider his PKU a part of his Cancer Treatment Plan. My husband was the breadwinner of the family and now that he is hospitalized, we have no income. This diagnosis turned our lives upside down in the worst way. We are trying to get back home to California, where we know he will have access to adequate healthcare and his family (as his medical records are in California and his current Medical Team in Dallas does not consider his medical history important). I too, have been trying to get seen here in Texas, as well for a cyst/or fibroid within my stomach, I have been being run around for over a month without any medical assistance, my medical history is in California as well. Where I know I will receive proper medical care so I can get back to supporting our daughter and assist my husband through his Cancer Treatment.
