Help End HIV & AIDS! SF->LA #5
It's 2017. Services and medications for treating HIV/AIDS has matured tremendously since this disease first began plaguing our world. The story is no longer front-page news. With treatment, HIV/AIDS is not a death sentence for most people anymore.
But the disease is not gone. There is no cure. And this year, ~50,000 people will find out they have contracted the disease in the US alone.
Because treatment is so effective, HIV/AIDS isn't making headlines anymore. This is leading some people to forget that 36.7 million people are still living with this disease.
36.7 million people.
And let's not forget the 35 million who have passed away.
Enough is enough. Let's end HIV/AIDS.
Please consider supporting me, again, on my 545 mile bicycle ride, from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
$20. $50. $100. $5. Whatever you can do, it helps. Really.
Please note that donations via this site are being matched! So please don't donate via the AIDS Lifecycle link directly - use this site instead.
Thank you again for your support - continued support for many of you. Together, we will make a difference in ending this disease.
