Hello everyone,

My name is Hunter, and I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help like this, but my family is facing a serious financial crisis and we have run out of options.

I live with my mom, my girlfriend, and our two cats and one dog. For years, we have worked hard to provide for ourselves and pay our bills, but a series of unexpected hardships have left us struggling to keep a roof over our heads.

In February, I suffered a serious foot injury at work. As a result, I am currently considered 75% disabled and have been unable to return to work. Losing my income has put an enormous strain on our household finances.

At the same time, my mom lost her long-term, high-paying job in December. While she was thankfully able to find new employment, it pays significantly less than what she was earning before. My girlfriend has become the primary source of income for our household, but despite working hard, one income simply isn’t enough to cover everything.

Our rent is $1,700 per month plus utilities. Because we have been forced to prioritize basic necessities, our electric bill has grown to over $2,200 due to unpaid balances and late fees. We are now facing the possibility of having our electricity and internet shut off.

This would be devastating for us. My mom works from home and relies on electricity and internet access every day to do her job. Losing those services would make an already difficult situation even worse.

We are struggling to afford groceries, rent, utilities, and other basic necessities. We have explored every option we could think of and have reached a point where we are asking for help from our community.

• Pay rent and avoid eviction

• Purchase groceries and household necessities

• Care for our pets during this difficult time
