Help My Partner Get Away

Back in May of 2018, my partner got married to the father of their only child cause they didn't want their child to be born out of wedlock. The first couple months of the marriage seemed okay, but then when their son turned 3 months old things took a turn for the worst. Their husband would yell at them, call them fat, slam doors, punch walls, and even throw things in anger. Sometimes instead of throwing things he would punch himself in the head until they begged him to stop and was crying.

I met my partner back in August of 2019. We are polyamorous, and all of our relationships are consensual. I have witnessed first hand the mental and emotional abuse he has put them through. As well as the neglect he has shown towards them. He doesn't ever want to be around them, even if it is just to have a family dinner together. I have seen him put relationships he barely started before his deteriorating marriage with his own spouse. He has yelled at them over their mental health and even stated that he didn't need to help them anymore with it since I came along. He refuses to get help for his anger and claims that he doesn't have anger issues. I have seen him slam doors in their face, I have seen him punch himself repeatedly until they would cry begging him to stop, I watched him take off his wedding ring and throw it at them in a fit of rage. They have also told me about the time he had hit them back in their old home. I have talked to them about leaving several times but each time is the same answer, "we need him cause we can't work".

Both my partner and I are trying our best to get on disability but it's a long and painful process. I am hoping we can get a couple months rent together cause they have agreed to try a separation from their husband for a couple months if we could get rent and food costs covered. They are reluctant to throw away their marriage and the 4 year relationship that goes with it but they are fully prepared to file a divorce if it becomes needed for the betterment of not only themselves but their 2 year old son as well.
