I wanted to share an update on my mom, Betty Gale Franklin Thacker, and ask for continued prayers and support.

My mom is currently battling stage 4 cervical cancer. Before she can begin chemo, radiation, brachytherapy, and immunotherapy, she has to overcome a serious infection caused by kidney catheters. She is now at John Sealy in Galveston, fighting hard every single day.

Our family is doing everything we can to keep her life stable while she fights for her health. We are working to keep her car note, insurance, utilities, groceries, and medical bills paid so she has a safe home to return to. Insurance has been a battle, and once she’s home, she’ll need to apply for disability since she’s unable to work.

I’m helping the best I can while working nights and supporting my own family, but this is more than we can carry alone. Any donation, prayer, or share truly means everything to us. Every bit helps my mom focus on what matters most—fighting cancer and getting better.
