Brother Tamai has been a staple on Telegraph ave selling his batiks and jewelry for several decades ! Unfortunately , Tamai suffered a massive stroke on monday night. He suffered a major brain bleed, was on life support, and wasn't expected to survive. It was a basilar stroke. He woke from his coma and was eventually removed from life support. He was transferred to another hospital for better care and slipped back into another coma. By the grace of the most high , Tamai came out of the coma yesterday! He is able to talk, but his mental status is extremely altered. He seems to be having a hard time with his vision and his memory. He was able to stand up and march in place so we are very grateful ! We are praying in time his memory and vision will be completely restored. But he and his family have a long road ahead of them for rehabilitation and recovery. As many of you have known, Tamai has not been able to vend on telegraph for over 3 years now. This has put a huge financial strain on him and his family, as he is the major provider and caregiver for his family. We are asking for some support in this difficult time through financial donations and prayers! Tamai is a lion and we are confident that he will bounce back, but we do need the community that he so dearly loves to help us in this time.
