Our family is in need of help for my handicapped Aunt Carol. My grandmother recently passsed away due to Alzheimer's disease and unfortunately did not secure signed paperwork for Carol to be cared for by next of kin (my mother Lynn Peters). Because of this, the State of Virginia is trying to take Carol away from us and put her in a State-run nursing home, where we feel she will not be taken care of properly because of her many needs. If you know Carol at all, then you know she is the most kind hearted, free spirited soul you could ever meet. She has handled the death of her mother better than we ever thought she would. And the last thing she needs is to be taken away from her family too. The goal to meet is $1500 for a lawyer and court fees, so we can win her case and keep her in our family home and care for her. Anything donated will be greatly appreciated. We know times are tough for everyone right now. But Carol needs this. Thank you so much.
