My good friend Elena has fallen on hard times and needs assistance.

First being laid off in 2023 from her company of 13 years. She has diligently looked for work since, but struggling to find anything that is close to where her skill-set is, like so many others. She had been driving for Uber full time just to make ends meet since then, until encountering several medical setbacks (emergency kidney stone removal due to severe infection and sepsis, dislocating her shoulder right after, and recently a potential cancer scare that she is still waiting on the results). She has had to rely on credit cards and savings but she is at the point where this no longer is sustainable. She is no longer able to drive as many hours for Uber due to all of this, so it's impossible for her to catch-up on her bills.

She does have a serious job prospect that is supposed to start in January but she desperately needs help until she has a steady income coming in.

Elena is one of those people that would give you the shirt off her back if it would help you, always ready to assist however she can. She has helped me and other friends in so many ways, whether helping with a design project, sewing, physical labor, transportation, etc.

She is truly embarrassed to even need to ask for help and appreciates whatever anyone can give until she can get back on her feet financially.
