This is my husband, Harry, most people know him as Hatt. On September 4,2020, I took him to the ER because his blood pressure and sugar were super high. He stayed in the hospital for four days while the doctors tried to regulate his levels. Hatt returned to work a week later. On October 5, 2020, he called me and said he hadn't been feeling well all day. I knew something was wrong the minute I saw him. We took his blood pressure and it was very high again. Off to the ER once again. He was there for three days but during that time they discovered that he had a stroke. Tons of doctors appointments, adjusting his medications, mid November, back to the hospital. Trying to get his levels under control, running test after test, they discover that Hatt had a second stroke. Four days of testing, he is released. Things were tough because he was so weak. His kidneys are failing and starting to take over on his body. His midsection was filling up with fluid. He had a few good days in the mix of many scary ones. We get to the end of the first week of December and he had to go back to the hospital. Test after test after they found that he has a blocked artery in the back of his head which causing his instability and will be the cause of another stroke. Since the beginning of September, he has been in the hospital four different times, had two strokes, found out about the blocked artery and was told that he needs to be put on dialysis very soon while waiting to get on the transplant list.

Harry was on short term disability through his job and had benefits but since it has been over three months they both have stopped and he has no income and no insurance. They had an option for him to pay almost $800 a month to keep his coverage but with no income, that is impossible. We are trying to apply for Social Security Disability but were told that could take 4-6 months and he needs his medicine and needs to be seen by the doctors. I don't know what to do at this point. We need help.
