Help for Jenn's Surgery
**Please see update 10. Jenn has more medical expenses coming up that she needs help with.**
*Please see update 7. I had surgery June 26.*
Jenn is currently seeking help from her friends and community during a health crisis. She is a single parent of one young child, and was recently diagnosed with Chiari Malformation (compression of the cerebellum into the neck). The condition has caused her a significant decrease in quality of life, including chronic migraines, severe neck pain, chronic fatigue, sleep issues, brain fog and word recall issues, chronic pain, balance/walking issues, tremors and sensitivity to light and sounds. She has a decompression surgery scheduled for June 26 (see update #6) in hopes to give her a better quality of life and prevent further progression. She will have a 24 hour ICU stay, a minimum of 3 days in the hospital, in addition to at least 6 weeks of recovery time. Jenn will need to take this semester off of work and school and has a lot of worries about how she will meet her and her son's minimum needs of rent and basics covered ($1k a month) over the next few months. She is in the process of applying for assistance, however it is a complicated and long process and will unlikely be resolved in a timely manner, in addition, it will not be able to meet all their basic needs. This financial goal would be immensely helpful to ensure this family's basic needs to stay afloat during the few months of her recovery time. Any help or amount is very much appreciated!
