Hi, my name is Ken Sharp.

Since September of last year, my health has been rapidly declining. In November, I was in the emergency room seven times. On November 22nd, my daughter Genevieve was born — healthy, beautiful, and instantly my entire world.

Just over two weeks later, on December 8th — my birthday — I was taken by ambulance to the hospital and placed on life support. I survived, but I am still in serious medical condition and continuing treatment for multiple major illnesses.

Because of this, I’ve been unable to work consistently. At the same time, I’m caring for a newborn. Between medical bills, housing costs, utilities, and basic living needs, I’ve reached a point where I cannot stay afloat alone.

I’ve always worked for what I have. Asking for help like this is uncomfortable and humbling. But right now, this is about staying alive, staying housed, and being here to raise my daughter.

Funds raised will go toward:

• Basic living support during recovery

• Infant care essentials
