I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help, but our family has fallen on truly hard times. We’ve always managed to get by—my husband working full time and me picking up side jobs like food delivery, babysitting, and cleaning—but recently, things have unraveled.

It started with car trouble. My daily driver broke down, and with it, I lost my ability to bring in extra income through DoorDash and UberEats. That second stream was crucial to covering our basic needs. Since then, we’ve been doing everything we can to stay afloat—but the bills are piling up, and we’re falling behind.

We’re currently late on rent, and struggling to keep the electricity and water on. Our car needs at least $600 in repairs just to get it running again. We’ve applied for help, but we don’t qualify for loans or government assistance.

I’m a stay-at-home mom to two amazing toddlers, and while they’re a blessing beyond words, the stress of trying to provide while feeling helpless is beginning to take its toll on my mental health. Our oldest just turned 4 and is starting Pre-K soon, which adds another layer of expenses with school supplies and uniforms.

We live humbly and within our means. We’ve cut corners, juggled bills, and tried everything to stay afloat—but we’re at the breaking point.
