Help get back in school
As a young child I've always had a dream to attend college and become a doctor . I was a bright student and always worked hard to achieve my goals. Upon graduating high school in the top 20% of my class, I was eager to begin my journey. Once I found out I was accepted to Spelman College, I knew I was destined for success. However, my dream was shattered when I faced a major obstacle - lack of funds. I was able to begin my freshman year, but I couldn't continue because it became expensive.
My parents weren't financially stable, and they could not continue to pay for my college education. I was devastated, but I did not give up. Even during high school, I was looking for scholarships and grants to fund my education. I spent countless hours researching and applying for scholarships, but unfortunately, I did not receive any. Because my gpa was a 3.6 instead of a 3.7 or higher, I also did not receive any scholarships from the school.
Determined as I am, I decided to work part-time to save money for college. I worked hard and saved every penny I earned. However, it was not enough to cover the tuition fees and other expenses.
I was heartbroken when I realized that I had to discontinue school. I felt like I had failed myself and my family. However, I did not lose hope. I continued to work hard and save money, hoping that one day I would be able to fulfill my dream.
Unfortunately, I encountered more obstacles. Others began to doubt my potential telling me that I will never be able to finish school due to the fact that I had a child. Despite the setbacks, I am still determined to continue my education. If I am able to pay the money I owe to the school and get my transcript, then I can finish school for me and my daughter.
