Haley has been battling & suffering from a very painful TMJ (temporomandibular-joint) disorder for at least 8 years now. This disorder causes her to have prolonged discomfort in performing simple everyday tasks & activities such as eating, speaking, sleeping and merely making it through a day on the days when the pain is at it's worst. If you can imagine having chronic inflammation radiating from your jaw at any given time as it pleases and literally debilitating you from not only doing the things you love (Haley is a singer) - but also keeping you from your everyday responsibilities to keep a household running as a single mother... that is what life is like for Haley.

She has spent endless amounts of time seeing countless doctors & specialists for treatment (that insurance covers/ a lot has been out of pocket), has spent plenty of $ in doing so, and regularly seeks out any natural remedy she can perform herself that might improve her symptoms in order to experience some small amount of relief.

Finally we are here as Haley's situation doesn't appear to improve as time passes - creating a fundraiser & seeking donations towards her final option... a treatment recommended by a LVIF specialist and is called "TMJD Treatment" before she succumbs to the undesired option of having surgery on her jaw. This TMJD treatment she has been recommended includes an orthotic appliance that will help to reposition the jaw back to it's correct placement as well as other TMJ adjustments that are included. However, this would only be the beginning of the treatment and is NOT covered by insurance. Stage 1 of the procedure is what will be covered by the total amount we are hoping to fundraise through this platform - which is the ONLY part of the treatment we are seeking financial help with.

Surgery on the TMJ is her absolute last...LAST option as she has been informed by an oral surgeon that the recovery from the procedure is extremely arduous (and full recovery is NOT guaranteed!)

I stepped in to create this fundraiser for Haley because I know her personally as someone who is always willing to lend a hand to another in need and will even go the extra mile in her quest to help because she truly cares that much for others.
