Hello,

My kitty, Hopper, was an abandoned kitten I rescued (with his brother) and thinks he's a dog. He tries to get outside any chance with my dog and did so on Saturday.

Unfortunately, he hopped over our tall fence and into my neighbor's yard. Their dogs are NOT friendly with others. Hopper was apparently grabbed by the one and shaken. Somehow he managed to escape that and get to a tree. He climbed and then climbed again higher. I was not there and notified by my kids and then neighbor. I'll include pictures of him in the tree and his rescue.

He was in the tree for like 28 hours and I would visit him and hardly slept worried if he would make it. I called everyone for help and finally someone did with a great rescue idea. He was lowered in a fishing net yesterday and I grabbed him immediately.

He appeared in pain and he is limping and cannot jump up. This was very traumatic for him and my family, but holy cow, the estimate makes sense but very high for a solo mama!

We did find a deep puncture wound (went through his muscle) on his left side, and unfortunately in a bad place that made the Vet worry for his organs. They wanultrasound an ultrasound and X-Rays and of course meds for him. He had an injection of antibiotics, given a wound spray and pain meds.

I want the best for my baby, he's only 1 and just too adventurous and brave for his own good. I feel horrible this happened and couldn't protect him, but feel insanely grateful this isn't worse and he's alive! I appreciate any and all help for my big boy.
