Help Hoss and Lis

Lis is a U.S. Navy veteran who sustained physical injuries during service and has mental health struggles as a result, including but not limited to Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Her medical alert and mobility service dog who faithfully assisted her for 10 years retired due to age-related health concerns, and is unable to perform his duties.

When a service dog retires, it is an act of care and respect, but it also means that a new chapter begins for the veteran who depends on that support.

That's where Hoss comes in. He is a young Labrador Retriever, and a new service dog partner in the making. He was chosen to provide continued help with daily tasks, safety, and independence. Hoss is being trained to for medical alerts, mobility assistance, and PTSD support. This offers life-changing support that will help improve safety, independence and overall quality of life for Lis.

When our service members take the oath to serve and protect our country, they rarely anticipate the lasting physical and emotional challenges that they may face after their military service concludes. Service dogs like Hoss play a vital role in helping veterans, like Lis, navigate those challenges with confidence and dignity.

Your support, whether through donation or sharing this fundraiser, will make a meaningful impact in the life of a veteran who has sacrificed so much for our country. It will help fund the training, placement, and program costs needed for Hoss to be matched and ready to serve. Every gift makes a real difference. Thank you so much for helping us give back to a veteran in need.
