Help James Rebuild After
Title: Help James Rebuild After the Fire — Cold Springs / Golden Valley
Goal: $25,000
Story:
On July 27th, 2026, our family got the kind of call you never want to get. A fire broke out at my nephew Jame's place near the Cold Springs/Golden Valley area of Nevada, and by the time it was extinguished, it had torn through his backyard and part of the shop out back. Years of work, tools, a boat, a vehicle, and the things he'd built up little by little, so much of it gone in a matter of minutes.
James is also a veteran who served our country in the military, the kind of person who's always given more than he's taken. He is also a beekeeper, and the fire destroyed one of his colonies. If you've never kept bees, it's hard to explain, but a hive isn't just equipment; it's something you tend and care for every single day. Losing them alongside everything else made a hard night that much harder.
The most important thing is that he was safe and at work at the time it broke out. Things can be replaced, but standing in that yard last night and this morning, looking at what's left, the road ahead feels very overwhelming.
Here's the part that's been so hard to sit with: the home site was built back in the 1970s, and no insurance company would cover it. There's no policy, no claim, no check coming. Every board, every tool, every bit of cleanup and rebuilding has to come straight out of his own pocket, and out here in our small rural community, that's just not something one person can shoulder alone.
So we're humbly asking for help. Whatever we can raise together will go directly toward clearing the debris, rebuilding the shop, replacing his tools, and helping him restart his hives so Jame’s can get back on his feet. If you're able to give, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If money's tight, we understand completely. Please just share this page. Passing it along to your own friends and family helps more than you know.
Jame’s has always been the first to lend a hand when someone needed it. Now it's our turn to show up for him. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and for keeping his family in your thoughts.
With gratitude,
Mark Gipson
