Help Jason Stay on His Feet and Focus on Recovery During His Battle with Cancer.

Dear friends and family,

We at JTown Pizza are organizing this fundraiser for our beloved manager Jason Greer. He was recently diagnosed with large mass prostate cancer and goes into surgery on the 3rd of September. This will put him out of work for at least a month as he goes through recovery. However, there is a high expectancy for complications that could make recovery last as long as three months. The owners said they paid his insurance until the 31st of October, if this changes I will update again on the situation.

It is under great duress that we ask you to help our friend stay afloat during this dark time. Jason would say he's never asked for a handout and it is weighing hard on him that we had to make this plea for help. He hides his personal problems at work very well but this is the hardest situation he's faced in his life. The surgery itself without insurance is 500,000 dollars. If any complications occur during his lapse of insurance a 52 year old man will be left in debt and without retirement for the rest of his life. Jason adores all of our guests at JTown and does his absolute best to make sure everyone has an enjoyable experience here. We ask that you show support during his time of need.

What your donations will cover:

Rent: $2800 a month - Jason's one bedroom apartment sets him back $2800 a month. Without a house he will be unable to rest and recover after his surgery. This would likely lead to his death.

Insurance: $900 a month - To match the care he is receiving under his current plan his insurance will be at least 900 a month. This helps reduce cost of medicine and further care while he cannot work.

Medicine: $300 a month - Jason has already had a brain tumor in his younger years that affected his pituitary gland. This requires him to take hormone therapy and pain medication on top of the extra medication he needs after surgery.

Food and General Living Expenses: All extra money donated will go to food, utilities, and whatever else Jason will need to get through this battle.

Minimum goal per month- $4500

Any help and good will you show for our friend will go straight to making sure he is taken care of and can continue living without the looming threat of death or bankruptcy. A major stress reliever will allow him to focus on getting better to insure his best chance at recovery. We will be keeping any and everyone who cares updated on his condition until he gets better.
