Help JaVon to Thailand
Hello friends - our amazing JaVon has been accepted as a presenter for the International Conference on Happiness and Well-being in Bangkok, Thailand in March!
This conference brings researchers and practitioners together from around the world to share and collaborate regarding the most current, innovative practices. JaVon will be presenting on findings from her Fulbright research, entitled, “’I enjoy them!’: Joy in Ghanaian parenting in Early Childhood."
Anyone who knows JaVon knows how much she cares about others and about bringing more joy, wellness, and creativity into the world! Her education, work and hobbies all center around these missions and values. This conference is a special opportunity for her to connect with like-minded people from around the world and for others to learn from her work and life experiences.
This request for support comes from two of JaVon's oldest friends, Lydia Michela-Maireriki and Chelsea Rhodes. We have been blessed to know JaVon for over 25 year and she’s made our lives infinitely better through her kindness, love, joy, generosity, playfulness and good humour. We’ve also seen her touch many other lives. She has given so much to others and we would like to take this chance to give a little back to her now. JaVon is such a special person, and the world deserves to know her!
Would you please consider donating in her support? We’re trying to raise $3000 for this to be a joyful trip!
The flights alone cost $2000 and JaVon will have additional expenses, including food, lodging, activities, etc. Any gift would be greatly appreciated!
