Jeffrey is going through an incredibly stressful and uncertain transition. He is currently waiting for his probation transfer to be approved so that he can move back home, where he will have the family, friends, stability, and support system he needs to successfully move forward with his life.

While we wait for that approval, however, Jeffrey is facing an immediate crisis. He is currently unemployed, and his current housing is only secured through August 30, 2026. After that date, he will have nowhere to live. We are doing everything we can to help him through this difficult period, but we need additional support to keep a roof over his head and make sure he has enough food for himself and his beloved dog, Nyx, while we wait for the transfer decision.

Having stable housing during this transition is incredibly important. Without a safe place to live, Jeffrey could face serious consequences, including the possibility of being returned to prison. Our goal is to prevent that from happening by helping him remain safely housed and supported while he waits for the approval that will allow him to come home.

Once the transfer is approved, there will be another hurdle: getting Jeffrey and Nyx home. Depending on what makes the most sense financially, he will either need to rent a moving truck and drive his belongings home or sell what he can and fly home with Nyx. Either option will involve additional expenses for transportation, moving, travel, and getting settled.
