Judson Bounds is a devoted christian, father, and husband. Last August, Judson and his wife, Jean Claire, received the shocking news that he has esophageal cancer. The discovery of a mass through a routine EGD for reflux changed the trajectory of the lives of their family and the many people who love them. Judson had a CT scan to define staging, and the cancer had spread to his liver and surrounding lymph nodes. Jean Claire amazingly had appointments at MD Anderson Cancer Center a few days later.

Judson has shown tremendous faith and strength throughout the challenges of the past several months. He and Jean Claire have powered through the fear, logistics of travel and childcare for their son, Liam, and the emotional trauma of such a horrific diagnosis. As I am sure anyone reading this post can imagine, the costs incurred during this time are substantial.

Judson is fighting for his life and needs help to continue. There are many friends, church members, and community members who have expressed interest in helping the Bounds family. While prayers are what he needs the most, financial support is another way to help them through this fight to BEAT cancer. Judson has a wonderful partner in Jean Claire, a family who loves him, and friends who pray for him daily. He also has a tremendous medical team at the number one cancer treatment facility in the country.
