Help Kato
I've always been told it takes a village to raise a child. Being a single parent of two wonderful kids, I've been very independent, up until now. Kato is 6 years old and full of love, especially for his baby sister. He likes the color blue and adores animals. He is a very gentle child and is easily uprooted by changes in his environment. I am doing the best I can to help him learn and grow into a wonderful person. I am working 3 jobs, 2 part time and 1 full time in order to get my son what he needs but it's still not enough. I have been working all these hours since I found out about the medical cost. This new environment is really hard for Kato to understand and adapt to, so I'm swallowing my pride, wiping my tears, and reaching out to my "village" for help.
Kato has sensory and behavioral challenges. He needs to be medically evaluated for autism disorder (ASD). I don't qualify for state help and we don't qualify for Medicaid until he is medically diagnosed. Which is extremely frustrating. To be medically diagnosed, I need to pay $4,850 for the testing, and my insurance through the VA, does not cover any if this. Kato can't receive any support in school or see any sensory specialists until we get his ASD on paper. We have been through three evaluations with his school and they require the medical diagnosis to continue services as well. Those of you who know me,understand this my last resort. I am going to continue to work as much as I can to pull my own weight for my family but I really need help to get through this as soon as possible.
Please consider helping, anything helps from 5 dollars to pop can returns. I'll accept anything I can get. If you can't donate funds, please send good vibes and share this. Thank you all so much for your support. Much love, Kato & Fam 💗
