Hi, I’m Gary Metz (“DJ Gary”)— a DJ, builder, and founder of Playidy™ and CEO of AppDaddys, Inc. with a real mission.

My music journey began after I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I pulled the plug on chemotherapy and chose to use the power of music as my antidote to battle cancer. Seven years later, after facing three forms of cancer, I remain in remission — and that’s when Playidy™ was born at https://discover.playidy.app.

Streaming is broken. Creators earn pennies while platforms take the lion’s share. Fans want to support the artists they love, but there’s no easy way to do it. That’s why I built Playidy™ — the first Social Streaming Revenue Share Platform™.

Playidy™ is already live and working today at  https://discover.playidy.app. You can listen to live radio, stream music, and be part of a platform where creators will soon be able to earn up to 30% revenue share and everyday users can earn too. 

I currently stream worldwide via IP-connected devices via our LIVE 365® LIVE Radio Station in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and now Mexico. I also produce a weekly podcast called “Tuesday Night Pulse” — the highlight of my week — that uses the power of music to help first responders’ colleagues and their family who have lost somebody in the line of duty heal, and to support anyone else who needs it.

Those podcasts are distributed through our distributor to all the major podcast platforms in the world, including Apple® Podcasts, Amazon® Music, iHeart Radio® and many others.

I’m also a Microsoft® Cloud Solutions Provider and GoDaddy® Partner and was designated a Microsoft® for Startups company in 2025 (currently applying for recertification for 2026). I am also a SiriusXM® Music for Business Authorized Dealer and a Spotify® Ads Partner.

I’m raising funds to scale the platform at https://discover.playidy.app to migrate to and and grow a Microsoft® Azure infrastructure, expand marketing, improve the mobile apps, and keep building features our community is asking for.
