Hi, my name is Karen Allison.  I am running this campaign to help my dear friend of 20 years get the chemo treatments she needs to fight metastatic breast cancer.  Because her family made approximately $70 too much, she has lost her CalOptima and has been placed with a plan with the ACA. She is now paying for Insurance plus 10% co-pays on any doctor visits and chemo treatments. Because of this, she has not restarted chemo because she simply cannot afford her share which is approximately $1,850 per treatment and cannot even afford to have her port flushed once a month.  She has also just lost her job as a "lunch lady" because she has not recovered from a back injury and not cleared for the lifting requirement.  Laura is going to be a grandma in September, she needs to get back on her treatments so she can enjoy her new grandson.  Please consider donating, any amount will help as it all adds up.  This can happen to anyone.  If you cannot donate at this time, would you please share this campaign?  Thank you very much.
