My name is Heather Cape, a 2x cancer survivor who remains disabled after treatment. My rescue Boston Laya is smart, sweet, energetic and brave. I love her so much. Layla is 2 years old and started having odd, severe swelling in her face a couple months ago. 4 doctors later, and x-ray, 2 rounds of steroids, 2 rounds of antibiotics, and a biopsy and the swelling starts coming back. Luckily, she's still eating and playing well, but something is wrong and now they are want to do a CT and then a possible surgery. Since moving to rural GA 2.5 years ago, I have helped 8 stray dogs get medical attention and get to a rescue and new homes. I could sure use some help, she's been with us since we rescued her at 2 months old and want to keep her where she belongs.
