Late September, 2024 Maureen’s home in Florida was the site of a unimaginable tragedy.

Hurricane Helene flooded and severely damaged her home so badly she lost nearly everything she owned. Furniture, appliances, keepsakes and essentials – nothing was spared. Her home, once a place of comfort and safety, was left unlivable.

We are thankful Maureen is physically safe; however, since the storm she has faced the immense challenge of rebuilding her life entirely from scratch.

Rebuilding has been a long lengthy process that is still ongoing with many items still left undone. She has poured every resource along with her own savings into repairs, but the costs quickly exceeded what could be managed.She is now at a standstill and unable to complete the essential repairs needed to safely live in her home.

Funds raised will go directly towards:

• Necessary kitchen appliances to make my kitchen usable
• Countertops to make my kitchen + bath usable and safe
• Sinks for the kitchen + bath
• Broken window repair/replacement
• Water heater replacement as there is no consistent hot water running
• Door and pillar replacement to stabilize the structure of the home
• Temporary housing & living expenses

Each of these items is critical to making my home functional and safe. Without them, she is unable to return fully to normal life.
