I have been a chef for almost 30 years and most people don't know how much of a back breaking job that is. Literally in my case having had 3 back surgeries back in early 2000s needless to say I fell into a life of pain medicine addiction. This was a time when Dr's were shoving these drugs down our throats basically. Being a recovering addict and working in hospitality field is not a good combination. One thing that keeps my headspace great is producing art in the for of wood sculptures. I am severely passionate about this path and would love nothing more than to pursue this full time and from what I have gathered from other people who work with wood professionally I have some real talent and skill. The only thing holding me back is lack of capital and time to produce my work. I need to build a workshop and purchase the correct tools for the job. It's really hard to be able to work in my condition and make enough money to support myself and have enough left over to further my artistic endeavors. Please help me acheive this dream of being able to pursue my art full time.
