Help me and my daughter move
My name is Miranda and I am the single mom of an amazing 11 year old daughter, the last few years have been very hard for us financially last year I was diagnosed with cervical and uterine cancer, and had to undergo a hysterectomy, a simple procedure it was not 12 hours after my surgery I threw a clot and almost died and then became septic and almost died again spending almost three months in and out of intensive care. during this time my daughters father decided to stop working and has not worked in over a year so I am no longer receiving child support assistance.
After finally being medically cleared to return to work I had a lot of credit card debt and between that, rent, utilities and everyday necessities my landlord then dropped the bombshell on me he was selling the building and we had to vacate.
I spent three months searching for a rental in Chicago Illinois and the market is so expensive for a basic two bedroom apartment it would cost me everything I was bringing in monthly. Leaving nothing for food, utilities, and everyday necessities. without being able to find affordable housing myself and my daughter, as well as two cats we're facing homelessness. I then decided to relocate out of state where the cost of living is cheaper. And I have a friend out there that has been generous enough to take us in until we can establish our housing...
After saving a security and first month's rent, I am still short $500 for my moving truck and car carrier. And with only a week left of work there is no way I can come up with the money by myself. So I'm hoping some very generous and awesome people will help me and my family relocate and start a new life. In advance thank you so much for everything you do to help make this possible for us.
