My name is Anna, and I am a mother to a beautiful 6-month-old daughter. I am creating this fundraiser because we are trying to escape a domestic violence situation and build a safe, stable life free from fear.

For the past 10 years, I have been in an abusive relationship. After the birth of my daughter, the abuse became more frequent and increasingly violent. I have come to the difficult realization that staying is no longer an option. My greatest responsibility is protecting my daughter and giving her the safe childhood every child deserves.

Leaving an abusive relationship is not as simple as walking away. It requires financial resources that I do not currently have. I am raising funds to help cover the costs of securing an apartment, paying move-in expenses, purchasing essential household items, and obtaining a reliable used vehicle so I can continue working and supporting my daughter.

Every day that passes is another day that my daughter and I remain in a situation that puts our safety at risk. I am doing everything I can to create a better future for us, but I cannot do it alone.

Leaving is often the most difficult and financially challenging part of escaping abuse. My daughter and I need a safe place to live, transportation to allow me to continue working, and the basic necessities required to start over.

My goal is to raise $15,000, which will help cover:the cost to leave and relocate

• First month's rent, last month's rent, and a security deposit for an apartment (approximately $4,600)

• A reliable used vehicle so I can get to and from work and provide for my daughter

• Utility deposits, essential household items, baby supplies, and other expenses that come with starting over from scratch, since we will be leaving with nothing.

I am not looking for a handout—I am looking for a chance. A chance to give my daughter a home where she can grow up feeling safe, loved, and protected. A chance to rebuild our lives without fear.
