Hello, my name is Sian, and I’m reaching out with humility and faith.

I recently found out that my tuition assistance has run out, and it happened at a moment when I was doing everything I could to stay focused on my education and finish my degree. This setback was unexpected, and right now I don’t have the extra funds to cover the remaining tuition.

I’m a mother of 7, a student, and someone fighting every day to build a better future for my family. I’ve come too far to give up, and I refuse to let this stop me. My education is my key to stability, better opportunities, and long-term financial peace. I don’t get help from the government like foodstamps or Medicaid. My job covers all my expenses. They say I make too much money which I don’t understand. I make 78,000 a year that supports a whole family. I also support my parents. Their social security does not cover all of their bills. I have one daughter that just started college and my oldest son going into the air force when he turns 18 in April.

I’m asking for help so I can stay enrolled, complete the classes I’ve worked hard for, and break the cycle of struggle that has followed me for so many years. I want to graduate — not just for me, but for my children, so they can see their mother rise and finish what she started. My GPA is 3.76. I graduated in June with my associates degree and am continuing my bachelor’s but funding ran out. I could not go to school before because I always put my children first. Now I am trying to show them that it’s never too late to accomplish your dreams.
