Seven days after my J-tube placement, I was sent to the emergency department with intense abdominal pain that started at my belly button and spread into my pelvis. After waiting nearly 12 hours to be seen, I was once again treated by the same on-call team I’ve encountered through countless hospital visits for coiled GJ tubes.

Living like this is exhausting—physically, emotionally, and financially. The constant medical complications, ER visits, and procedures have taken a heavy toll, and the cost of care continues to grow.
