Hello friends and family! My local DSA chapter has elected me to be one of our delegates for the national convention in August, and I need a little help getting there due to recent family emergencies that have depleted my savings! While I'll also be fundraising with the chapter, I know I have a supportive personal network that can help. My goal of $2000 will cover travel expenses, lodging, and registration fees for the convention. Any money raised beyond the original goal will go toward helping the rest of my delegation cover their costs, and any beyond that will be donated to the convention scholarship fund to help even more delegates cover their costs. Y'all know I really value the community volunteering and work I get to do with DSA, and being able to represent our community at a national forum is just the next logical step!
