Asking for help getting a divorce from an abusive man and make a fresh start. My husband walked out on me 5 months ago and left me with nothing. I've been financially dependent on him for 9 years. I have no job,no car and no money. I've been relying on my parents but they can no longer support me. I can't pay my utilities or buy groceries. My husband has cut off all contact with me and I have no idea where he even is. I've reached out to him for some financial help to no avail. I want to file for divorce but unfortunately no attorney will take my case without thousands up front. I've applied for legal aid to no avail and tried seeking pro bono lawyers but no luck there either. Hoping to raise enough to retain a lawyer to get the process started so any amount helps.
