Help Me Stay in School
I will need to drop out of school in order to keep up with my bills. I can no longer afford to continue my education because I need to pay off my high debt balance. I have postponed school for four years while working two jobs and was only able to take a few credits each semester. I would like to fully pay off my car loan, a few late fees, and other expenses to gain financial freedom from debt.
This past year, I became a full-time student, taking 19 credits per semester in order to catch up. However, after my job permanently closed, I have not been able to secure another position. I worked nights so that I could attend school during the day and continue coaching. During the summer, I work seasonal tomato harvest.
My goal is to help my community and become a physical therapist. I also want to continue coaching. I currently coach cross country, basketball, soccer, and track and field at a middle school. I truly love serving my community. I also help foster cats and dogs so they can find permanent homes.
I have applied for scholarships; however, those funds will not be available until the fall semester. In the meantime, I will continue actively searching for employment.
It has been a very difficult couple of years. Although I have attended interviews, I have not had any success. The part-time jobs I have been able to obtain are not enough to cover rent, gas, insurance and basic utilities.
I am not someone who asks for help easily, but this is my last resort. Thank you for your time and support.
