For those of you who know me well, you know how stubborn I am, how loving I am, how hard I work, how deeply I care for those around me, and how much I have been through these last couple of years. And I am struggling, barely keeping my head above water, and I am asking for support.

I miss working and I miss my students. I miss dancing in the kitchen with my kids, chasing my dogs in the yard, and I miss taking a hike and camping in the woods.

I am now trying to adjust to and live on disability pay and adjunct teaching, which we all know is not much as an educator. I have spent a disgusting amount of money on medical bills and medical needs this past year and a half, and had little success with getting better - neither getting back and keeping my mobility, nor getting successful pain relief. Both of which are keeping me from being able to work full time again.

There are medical treatments that could possibly allow me to have the things I said I miss back, they are not covered by insurance, and they are not affordable on disability. I’m asking for help to stay above water and out of debt with day-to-day life and current bills while I figure out what’s next and how I can make it back to my basic prior teacher salary….

BUT more so, I would love to try these procedures and get some of my life back, mostly dancing in the kitchen if I’m being honest 🤣 . So I am asking for help and support to get to try these procedures that could possibly have me again thriving instead of just barely surviving!! I don’t expect much, but I thought I’d throw it out there cause sometimes the world shines down on us in the ways we need, and we get by with a little help from our friends!
