Hello, my name is Jenaya, and I’ve worked hard all my life to take care of my family and stay independent. Since the age of 14, I’ve held jobs — often two at a time — and built a career in the corporate tech industry for nearly a decade. Like many others, I was affected by the wave of tech layoffs after COVID and have been working tirelessly to get back on my feet.

I’ve applied to hundreds of positions, continued substitute teaching, and I’m now completing my real estate education to create a more stable future. Unfortunately, my substitute program was recently cancelled, and with delays in new program approvals, my income stopped suddenly.

I’m now facing eviction and need urgent help to cover $3,500 in rent and $1,400 for my child’s college tuition due mid-month. This is the first time I’ve ever asked for help — I’ve always been the one giving or donating when others needed support.
