Hello. My family is going through a really difficult financial season, and we're asking for some help getting something we desperately need: a reliable full-size pickup truck.

My dad does landscaping work, and being able to transport his equipment is essential to his ability to work. He needs to haul riding mowers, lawnmowers, weed eaters, edgers, blowers, tools, and a trailer to the yards where he works.

Unfortunately, all three of our work trucks are currently out of commission. One won't start and needs major front-end work. Another has a rapidly flashing service-engine light and isn't something we can depend on. The third stopped working about a year ago and has continued to produce serious problems, including heavy black smoke when it's started. We've tried to figure out what's wrong with it, but so far we haven't been able to get it reliably running.

Our remaining family vehicle isn't a practical solution either. It has suspension problems and can overheat, especially when traveling at higher speeds with the air conditioning running.

The result is that my dad is in a difficult position: he needs transportation to move his landscaping equipment in order to do the work that helps support our household.

We're hoping to raise $10,000 toward a dependable used full-size pickup, along with the taxes, registration, initial maintenance.

We're not looking for a fancy truck. We just need something reliable enough to start, doesn't need tons of repairs, hauls our equipment, tows our trailer, and allows my dad to keep working.
