I've created this fundraiser to aid him in meeting his college tuition. More specifically, his 1st semester fees due in September.

Noah has excelled in school since a young age. He has earned a 30 on his ACT (top 5% in the US) and is an Illinois State Scholar. He is the first of our family (on both his father's and mother's side) to attend college. I truly believe Noah cannot flourish as he has in the past with the added burden and stress of finances weighing on him.

Noah 1st choice was NIU (Northern Illinois University) for their Business program. He applied, was accepted and received the maximum in grants, scholarships, and student loans, but still has $5000 left to secure his first year at NIU. 

Due to unfortunate financial circumstances, Noah is classified as an independent student, meaning he has no financial help from immediate family, and therefore is taking on all college financial responsibility on his own. Noah was a Life Rank Boy Scout and the SPL (Senior Patrol Leader) for his troop which kept him busy during his teen years so he concentrated on Scouts and school and did not have an afterschool job. Every dollar he has received and earned the past year, including those from Christmas, birthday gifts, his graduation party, and odd jobs, have gone straight to covering his first year's expenses without making much of a dent. This past spring Noah applied for several jobs and because Noah follows the Boy Scout Oath and Law to be trustworthy and morally straight, he was honest in telling employers that he planned to attend college in the fall and they were uninterested in short term help.

He's eager and excited to start this year (approaching fast Aug 23st) and I believe working together we can make this happen for him.
