In May 2022 we decided to offer to help take care of a friend's baby sister. She was just born and was already facing so much in her life. Aniyahs bio mother was using while pregnant. She went into rehab got out and started it all back over. So when Aniyah was born she was diagnosed with exposure to 3 different kinds of drugs. CPS stepped in and took her. She was then placed with us at 19 days old when she was released from the NICU. She is now 14 months old and thriving. But we were granted legal custody of her back in March due to bio mom NOT working her case plan or even trying for that matted. CPS walked away from the case leaving it to us to adopt on our own. We would love more than anything to give her the chance at having a real family. We have talked to an attorney we just have to come up with the funds to adopt now. It can get expensive pretty fast from what we are told and we just don't have that kind of money laying around. We also have 3 bio children of our own one who is nonverbal autistic. We are just asking if you can help and would like to please do if not that is ok too. Thanks
