My cousins, HANNAH, JEAN, JOHNITA, and AUDREY, suffered a devastating loss on July 14, 2026, when their workshop was completely destroyed by a fire.

The shop contained countless valuable tools and equipment that had been collected over three generations and were essential to HANNAH's business. JEAN's vehicle was also lost in the fire. Most heartbreaking of all, two of their beloved dogs were trapped inside the building during the blaze (one of them is pictured above). HANNAH bravely tried to rescue them and suffered serious burns in the process. Tragically, she was unable to save them.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Because they live in a very rural area, firefighters faced significant challenges in responding to the emergency. Their primary goal became preventing the fire from spreading further. The flames came dangerously close to their home and even damaged part of the porch, but thankfully the house itself was saved.

HANNAH lost the workshop that provided her livelihood, and JEAN lost her only means of transportation. Although insurance provided some assistance, it falls far short of covering the true cost of the tools, equipment, parts, building, and vehicle that were lost.

By God's grace, they and their home remain safe. Now it's our turn to help them through this difficult time. They are a wonderful Christian family who have always been willing to lend a helping hand to others in their community. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will be deeply appreciated.
