Hello, I am Pammie. I was diagnosed with ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease) in April of 2023. Thankfully, I had insurance! Since then, I have been on dialysis 3 days a week. I hope to get a kidney transplant. I had a job for 4 years managing a gaming cafe when this illness began but everyone got laid off from there before the business was finally sold in January of 2024. Our jobs were given to family members of the new owners. I used all my savings to keep the bills paid. I had bone on bone damage in my right knee for years so since i was off work during this time I got a TKR (Total Knee Replacement). I have worked hard and recovered nicely from that. I received unemployment during my recovery but that has now long been over. I can work so I've been applying for jobs everyday but now I need the rent and my car payment. I have medical bills that are months and months behind. All my bills are past due. I have no money and I am worried about my future, especially with this illness. I had planned to change to home dialysis but I have to keep my apartment to do that! So, that plan is on hold. I have been delivering food with Doordash whenever I can but it is just affording me gas to go back out and drive again. I'm not making enough to pay even one small bill, let alone the rent or my car payment. I just got an 5 day eviction notice on 2/6 and I am two months behind on my car payment. The finance company said, don't miss another payment...so I'm afraid my car will be repossessed when I can't pay and I will have no way to work or even get to the dialysis center. I have to do dialysis or I will be dead within 3 WEEKS! My bank account is overdrawn from autopays and I desperately need to resolve the negative balance. It seems like everything is going downhill no matter what I attempt to fix things. I really need some help. I believe things can get better if I have a good job because I will work. If I weren't flat broke, I could figure things out. I won't ever give up, no matter what. I'll keep trying! I have to make it through this and I will with help! Every little bit will help. Thank you!
