Hello world. My father “ papa Phil” is 76 years old. He just recently got put into a nursing facility for rehab rehabilitation so that he could learn to walk again.. He wants so badly to be able to live on his own, even though he lives off of a little bit of money, such as security provides at his old age. He has been in the nursing home for over a month and this will be the second time this year that he had to go for rehab rehabilitation. Social Security is now taking money they feel they should not have paid him because he was in a facility. Problem is it he uses that money to pay his rent to buy food and to pay for his cell phone occasionally if he has enough left, he’ll buy some clothes from the Goodwill. i’m hoping to raise a little bit of money to pay up his rent for a couple months so he can continue to be independent. It is hard to get older and have your independent stripped away from you. It’s even harder to be a man and have to ask for help. We aren’t asking for much just enough to get by.
