I'm reaching out to ask for your help in giving my mom a much-needed fresh start. My mom recently turned 60, and her greatest wish is to fix her home, which has suffered damage from Hurricane Helene, and to clean up her yard so her grandchildren can play without worry. Sadly, the roof has been damaged for years, only made worse by the recent hurricane, and the yard has accumulated debris because she hasn't been able to afford trash services or transportation to dispose of it.

In addition to her own health struggles, my mom is also caring for her younger brother, who has multiple health issues, and my adult brother, who is autistic. None of them are physically able to tackle these tasks on their own. It's heartbreaking to see her feel overwhelmed and stressed by all of this, especially knowing that she worries about fines or even worse, if the authorities were to get involved.

I'm hoping we can come together to help her accomplish her wish of having a safe, clean space to live in and for her grandchildren to enjoy. The work will be done by me and a small group of friends who have volunteered their time and labor.
