Hello my name is Tina and my husband and I have cared for a very large colony of homeless Feral cats for many, many years now.  We have started a fundraiser because we need your help to raise money to build a large habitat to house at least 50 homeless cats that are currently living on the street. 

We have an existing insulated shed with electricity so we can put in AC and heat as needed.  This will be the main home and then we will build a 3 sided giant outdoor cat enclosure (a habitat) if you will.  We will have houses and tree branches, beds, cat towers, food, litter boxes, food, water, rocks, where they will be able to go inside and outside but they will be in a permanent enclosure.  We have watched these cats struggle for years.  13 years ago we enclosed our back porch and we built an Indoor/outdoor enclosure for some of the cats we rescued through the years.  It is a smaller version of what we need to build now and there is no room for new cats to come in.

We have dedicated our time and hearts to try and make sure everyone of these cats are off the street.  They have been living under homes, in broken down cars, in trash piles, old sheds, wherever they can seek shelter and a safe place.  Cats like these that are not socialized are euthanized.  We also live in an area where stray dogs roam at times, we have coyotes, raccoons, and some people have no heart when it comes to animals like these.  We are very dedicated to our TNR program which is trap/neuter/release we have fixed over 300 cats to date and have adopted out on our own the ones that are nice or the kittens before they become too feral. 

We also have 2 vet credit cards that we have charged thousands of dollars on to help these cats that become sick or injured.  We are not in a position financially to do these things but I was taught to give even when you have nothing, give it to those less fortunate.  I am a passionate animal lover, and my heart is huge when it comes to these cats.  Recently we had a cat that according to the vet a coyote got a hold of and ripped the skin and fur on her throat and she was bleeding for almost 2 weeks before we could finally catch her. She sadly was to injured to be saved but at the very least she didn't have to crawl off alone, die alone and suffer, sadly many do in spite of our best efforts. 

Why am I sharing such details with you all?  Because I feel the story behind these cats is important to know how much people like us who don't have much to give are trying to make a huge difference and save all these homeless lives.  Ball park figure there are at least 50 plus cats that need our help.  With all your help we can build a safe enclosure for them and start catching them and move them into their new habitat before Winter hits again.  We also have a Facebook page called The FERAL CAT PAGE/"northern Nevada AREA" please visit our page and read more about what we do, what we have done and what we are trying to do.  Today I learned some disturbing news about the cats.....a neighbor told me that 6 cats he saw dead in an abandoned houses yard and that a Raccoon had a cat the other day. 

These are sad examples that drive me even more to push for these donations so we can get this habitat built. I do my best to protect them all but I can only do so much if I can't get them.  I am pleading with the world to help us save their lives!  Wouldn't it be awesome to see the cats inside their new giant enclosure knowing that all of you helped to save those precious animal lives!!!
