Hello, my name is Rye. Until two days ago I was starving and living on the streets of the Caribbean Island, Antigua. Luckily, two very sweet humans saw how badly I was struggling (while I was rummaging through the trash in hopes of finding food) and came to my rescue. Not only did they provide me with food but they also took me to the vet to begin my recovery process AND they are currently providing me with a temporary home until I am well enough to be boarded. Although I am very fragile right now (weighing 22 pounds) and I have a long road to recovery, I have been blessed with the opportunity of beginning the life I should have received a long time ago, thanks to Dogs and Cats of Antigua. I have always dreamed of living a life with a loving and caring family and these humans are trying to help me do exactly that. I am asking for your help to assist with the costs of veterinary care, boarding, a travel crate, and a flight to Canada (where I will live a much better life.) Fortunately, Dogs and Cats of Antigua has stepped up to help me do this and they have found me a home in Canada, lucky me! The cost for all of these necessities together comes out to $926 U.S. I really want to get better so I can fly to Canada and go to my furrever home! :) However, I cannot do this without paying for these costs so I would greatly appreciate any help you might be able to offer me! Any amount is helpful and means the world to me! (All of the proceeds will go directly to Dogs and Cats of Antigua so that they can ensure I am able to get the help I need and get to a new home.)
